Greenpoint may be getting too fancy for its longtime locals, but The Mark Bar is there to keep it low-class. It's the neighborhood dive where freelancers needing an afternoon tipple are welcome.
Pretty good local place.. Its cheap, has a good selection, has darts and a pool table, and isnt too crowded. Nothing particularly amazing but add those things up and you get an above average experience.
Large beer selection and polished decor set this neighborhood tavern apart.. Among the many dive bars in this still primarily Polish neighborhood, the Mark distinguishes itself with a selection of 50 bottled and 15 tap beers, born everywhere from Germany to Japan, as well as a classic cocktail menu that includes caipirinhas and mint juleps. The Mark's art deco mahogany bar, jukebox (with tunes from flamenco to grunge) and pool table draw a largely male clientele on weeknights. The bathrooms are noticeably clean, and the ladies room has a bidet.
Best in greenpoint!. Great selection. Great jukebox. Great people. What more can I say?
GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD BAR. GREAT, EASY-GOING, NEIGHBORHOOD BAR. GOOD WINE SELECTION, BEER AND POOL TABLE, NICE REGULAR CROWD.
