New Midtown Location. I am not sure if the Brooklyn and Midtown locations are under the same ownership. However, I ordered delivery from the Banana Leaf in Murray Hill. We ordered the Pepper Chicken and the Chicken Khadai. The food was very oily. The containers that the food came in were broken and leaking in the delivery bag. Finally, they actually calculated our bill wrong (a small $4 mistake, yeah right). Save yourself the agony and hopefully you can learn from my mistake :)

Wrost Thai / Malaysian I have ever tried. I was on a business trip to New York for a week, before i go, I was well prepared in terms of finding good restaurants to eat! Lately, I was really into the mod of Thai food, so I have picked a few of 'em base on the reviews I have read over the internet, Banana Leaf was one of 'em but unfortunately, it really disappointed me. I basically tried all the highest recommended items on the menu or from the waitress, but nothin really gettin into the "accecptable" level!

The green curry soft shell crabs ($23) are aweful! Curry with absolutely no favor of curry taste, besides, the soft shell crabs taste really fishy.

The red curry sea bass head was completely a big waste! it is heavily battered and pour in a bowl of red curry sauce with other ingredients. Again, the red curry without any favor of curry but slightly spicer than the green curry i mentioned but the worst part was it was too greasy! I don't know why, but it comes with a whole lot of oil! Again, that cost like $20 somthin!

The other funny thing was, one of the waitress even wear a pair of baby blue slippers ( i hope i spell it rite) for serving too! Men, what are they are doin...???

The other worst thing was, the owner or the executive chef, Peter Kow, (I recognise him from some of the reviews which feature his photo) when he have to cook, he will go back into the kitchen, otherwise, he will sit on the stood in the bar area which located right at the front door. He was wearing an un-professional casual t-shirt which seems kind of dirty too walking in & out the kitchen.

WHAT WRONG ARE ALL THOSE STUPID REVIEWERS!!!! I have read at least 3 reviews about this restaurant, all of them have absolutely positive rating in all aspect. But it was completely different from what I had seen! I could made a way better curry than these guys even with my eyes closed!

One of my top choices in Brooklyn. This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is inexpensive, tastes great and very colorful. The staff on the floor provides great service with a smile and the kitchen staff gets your food to you quickly. There is always seating available and the atmosphere is great.
