ugh.
Went on a thursday for the "open bar" which is advertised as being from 8-9, and accessible after paying a $6 cover. Well, it was an $8 cover that night, and the drinks could only be consumed in the venue portion of the bar. okay. band was playing at eardrum shattering levels, and they sucked. okay. Well drinks were so watered down that I began to question the presence of alcohol. NOT OKAY. Unless a band you're interested in is playing(which might be why most people go?) do not even look in the general direction of this place. Worst "open bar" ever.

Should be called GARBAGE..
The description sounded interesting so I thought I'd check out the place. The bartender was a tool, and the music was horrible. I felt like I was at some dirty bar that the Chainsaw Massacre family owns. They serve free french fries every hour which made me stay for one more drink. I watched the fries drop onto the bar and underneath the deep fryer, only to be pushed into a bowl by the bartender using a dirty rag, and finally placed in front of customers to snack on. That's when I left. Drinks were also weak and pricey. Avoid at all costs.

Trash is great for the weeknights. Cool people and cool bartenders.
Be on the lookout for LIVE BAND KARAOKE coming in November.

Great new place.
The crowd is contrived with a little too many pretentious hipster types for my taste, but the bartenders are awesome and you do meet some cool & friendly neighborhood folks every so often. The music venue in the back is above par, but if you don't need/want to hear the band, they have a fantastic jukebox up front and you can just hang out at the bar or in the booths up in the front and/or shoot some pool. There's also a lounge downstairs. They also have the best drink deals around.

Styled like a hipster Bennigan's, this Billyburg rock club lets the good times roll..
The Scene
The bordello-red walls are decked out with NASCAR posters, Tom Jones album covers, Schlitz plates and religious icons depicted on paper fans. Metallica blasts through the stereo speakers. Mohawked and tattooed locals sink into surprisingly cozy bench and bucket seats lifted from junkyard cars. The effect is kitschy, hip and somehow familiar--the decor and good-times vibe is very T.G.I. Friday's, even though bartenders don't serve food (nor do they wear weird hats or wacky buttons).
The Draw
Behind the main area, a fully enclosed back room with a second bar offers a stage for local and touring rock bands. It's mostly standing room, but a few more car seats are placed around the perimeter. The room isn't too big and the bands are really loud--just how the crowd likes them. For a few quieter rounds of pool, grab a pint and stay up front.
