Red Hook has better to offer.....
Such a waste of time. No menu to speak of, pizza is OK (get better locally) but nothing to rave about, slow service. Went there for Brooklyn Restaurant week, they had a 2for1 special - which wasn't anything special. Barely edible appetizer, ordered a Caesar salad (they gave us romaine with italian dressing & a sprinkle of parmesan) and a pizza. Not worth the trip.

Great samplings of brewed beer, fun space for a lot of people!. I went here with a friend from out of town. We were both into trying something new, and I'd heard great things about this place. The space itself is huge.... plenty of table room, a long bar, and even another room with a stage for performances. It wasn't very crowded, and it was about 9pm on a Saturday, so that was a little disappointing, but we got the next game of darts and pool later on. A young man was in the other room playing some songs, and I noticed that only one person was really watching him when I passed the stage to go to the restroom, so I made a note to check him out later... but then he was gone! The beer was a great part of this experience... a good variety of brewed beers and little cups to sample them! My boyfriend ordered the mussels and pasta and it was gone before I knew it. We later shared a small pizza that was really delicious. The bartender, Luis, was awesome. I hope to go back on another night with a bigger group!
Great Beer, Food, and Music. Liberty Heights Tap Room is the real deal. The beer is top notch, and the bartenders are more than kind and helpful when you just don't know which beer to choose. They've never steered me wrong. The food is awesome. I've had their pizza and their burgers, both of which were delicious and priced well. They have a great open mic on thursday nights, and the sound system/stage is one of the best around. This is definitely the upcoming hot spot of Red Hook!
Best Beer. The Editorial Review completely missed the mark. Liberty Heights Tap Room is also the home of the Six Points Brewery and many of the beers on tap are indeed from Red Hook, Brooklyn. They're all great but try the Brownstone Ale.
Red Hook's mellow spot for beer, brick-oven pizza and music..
The Scene
On a typical Saturday night, this remote brick-walled hangout--a 10-minute bus ride from the nearest subway stop--is lightly populated with some chicks playing pool, a couple regulars on the couches and a sprinkling of guests watching the bands and solo performers in the adjacent room. The sprawling, lovely wooden roof deck is just waiting for a party to bring it to life.
The Draw
With a homey attitude, the bar brings more to the table than your average watering hole. Its kitchen turns out brick-oven pizzas made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, as well as sandwiches on homemade focaccia and moist, soft scones, all served by easygoing yet attentive bartenders. The five taps offer a few unusual varieties to sample, including the Killian's-like Red Seal and roasty Nitro Black Porter; the pallid Okocim could easily be subbed out for richer suds.
