A great little spot to pop in to!. I love this spot. They have a nice wine list with a good cheese selection and they are GENEROUS with both! It's a hole in the wall with a really relaxed feel and tons of regulars. The post titled "Never Again" is referring to the fact that yes, you are gonna have to WAIT A FEW MINUTES, that's just the way it is. There is one bartender who does everything from the snacks to the serving, to the clearing the tables so those of us who know this just go with the flow and its WORTH IT. The girls are nice, the place is chill with no attitude, and it is a place where you can go alone and feel completely relaxed! I've only tried the cheese but I was so happy that I didn't get some skimpy little slice because there are other wine and cheese places you leave feeling resentful that you could have bought yourself dinner somewhere for what you paid for a little snack. The cheese selection also happens to be pure YUM!

NEVER AGAIN. RUDE BARTENDERS, MEDIOCRE FOOD

Unless you're a regular or friends with the bartenders, don't waste your time or money on this place - unless of course you like to pay to be insulted and ignored. The service is terrible - they will stand right in front of you and talk to their friends for 15 minutes and ignore your empty glass and attempts to get their attention. Smith street has way too many cheap, friendly places to eat and drink so do yourself a favor and skip it.

Proving that good things do come in cans.. The Scene
Serving only canned food and no-prep-needed cheeses, this narrow conserva bar doesn't waste space on a kitchen. Pull-down maps, reminiscent of middle-school geography class, prepare patrons for a rudimentary lesson on the wonders of international canned food. Customers, seated at a small bar and tiny tables, chat with the servers about specials and peruse the extensive wine list.

The Draw
The surprise is that the kitchen-free menu, perfect for this tiny establishment, is also a culinary success. An order of citrus-smoked salmon or thinly sliced Serrano ham topped with hazelnuts makes an elegant bar snack. The eggplant in a sweet tomato paste and the pepper dolma, rich with intricate Turkish spices, do have the slightly mushy consistency, but their respective flavors prevail over texture. Cheese aficionados should try the bra tenero, imported from Piedmont, Italy, expertly paired with a side of membrillo, or quince paste.

Cool spot. Sample is defintiely a cool spot. If you are looking for a meal where you can try a bunch of different things like a tapas bar this is a great place. The ambiance is nice, and its a great place to kick game of any kind.

Great Wine. Great Bartenders.. I love this place. They make a killer Bloody Mary and if you're lucky, they'll have their amazing sangria too. I love the scene because you go there a couple time and you start seeing familiar faces. What's great is that this place not only has a GREAT wine list but also wide range of specialty liquor if you're with someone who wants good, old-fashioned booze. The olives are made in this special brine and I'll sit at work, fantasizing about eating them. (Uhm, was that my outside voice?) DO go. There's a cute garden too where you can puff away...
