“We went to Pacifico because of the great outdoor patio -- it has a very fun and relaxed vibe for a summer evening.”
“wide choice of appetisers and entres - we tried nearly everything and it was all delicious, even managed to squeeze in a tasty key lime pie for desert.”
“AND you can still smoke at the outermost area of the patio - the wait staff can't technically serve you there because of the smoking, but if you don't mind walking to the bar to place an order (I don't), it's a great solution for smokers.”
“We were served cold pizza and told it was our fault (whatever that means) and that they didn't care if we came back.”
“Highly recommend the salmon stack and anything from the "taco stand" section of the menu.”
“The cash only policy is the only real downside of Pacifico -- it's a consistently great place to go.”
“Overall, decent food at a good price, with friendly people.”
“Pay a few dollars more and eat at a decent place.”
“But our experience there was good, but come to think of it, the wait staff was a bit slow and confused (we had the time to spare)”
WORST PLACE ON SMITH STREET IN BROOKLYN. Very immature bartender, didnt know how to make specific drinks, service was so slowwwww, the food was not fresh or warm, waitresses were busy flirting with men at the bar and werent very attentive to all the customers. I would never recommend this place to anybody even for a casual dinner.
Amazingg Mex!. I think the food is amazing here and the busser's are awesome! lol and I also think the bartender raymond is amazingly gay! and kelly is a sweetheart! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!
Great Atmosphere. Went to this place this place on a real cold night and needed a quick meal. I highly recommend the fish tacos, everything else was ok. Cool atmosphere, the fire place in the back really ads to it but needs a bit more heat throughout on a cold night.
I do not recommend.... We arrived at a place I once used to admire for late night noshing. Our table was visited 15 minutes after being seated and once our order was taken we never saw the waiter. I am usually forgiving of mistakes or overwhelming table load but this was not that case. I don't even know the waiter's name---that is how little time he spent at our table, which was overrun with ants. Food was burned and basically slop. Avoid at all costs...
Just a shame. The main reason we didn't like our dinner might seem fickle but here goes - fajitas came out and looked alright chicken, assorted veggies, reasonably seasoned - we waited. A couple of tired tortillas showed up. Then nothing. Really? No sour cream, guac, pico de gallo, salsa, cheese, refried or pinto beans nothing - just a chicken medley for your dry enjoyment on a tortilla, add to that the lack of chips and salsa when you first sit down (a bit of a shock too). Margarita's weren't bad but maybe its just cos we are condiment people but we won't be back. Am I overreacting? Open to comment.
Unhygienic. I do not recommend. I went there 2times . I got hair in my food 2 times of then !
Loved it. A coworker and I tried Pacifico after work a few Fridays and loved it. The atmosphere was great. The food we ordered was excellent, although I wouldn't say the margaritas were anything to write home about. Our waitress wasn't mean, but not especially warm or attentive either. I must say I am surprised by the bad reviews of the restaurant earlier in the year, though. Maybe it has improved since then? Regardless, we'll be back and can't wait to visit in the summer to take advantage of the patio.
Amazing staff made our dream wedding come true!. We had our first date here five years ago and decided to have our wedding reception here this month. We've always enjoyed going to Pacifico, and now all of our guests are raving about the food and how accommodating the staff was also! Richard and Ismet went above and beyond to make us feel like we were part of their family. We are obviously biased, but there is magic in this place! Rustic and charming, this is a great romantic spot for a delicious meal. Try the fish tacos, pork chop, ribs, wings, or crab cakes. Their margaritas - blood-orange or pomegranate are the best. We live in L.A., but every time we come home to Brooklyn, we'll be sure to stop in to Pacifico!
Raymond the bartender rocks!. Pacifico is a great place to casually hang out. The drinks are great, especially when made by Raymond. The omlette for brunch is great... the spinach is fresh, definately not frozen... quacamole at pacifico is yummy, as are the wings with chimmichuri. A weakness is the chicken in the salads. It's just average, just shredded, no seasoning on it. Also, I personally wasn't a fan of the portobello and asparagus mole. Overall, decent food at a good price, with friendly people.
Gross food. Wow--I can't remember the last time I had such gross food in New York. My quesadilla tasted like it had been made by a three-year old with no sense of proportion or flavor. And $11 for a plate of bland guacamole? Come on. Don't get me started on the margaritas, either. Mine tasted like the bartender had forgotten to add the tequila. Really, I find it rather scandalous that such a crappy restaurant attracts such crowds--this, in the city of a million restaurants, at least 9/10 of which are way better than this one. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else. Oh, and I never write reviews--I just was so moved by how bad this place was, I felt it was my duty to spread the word.
