“Pizza was pretty good; especially the Greca pie.”
“would recommend this place highly if you are looking for a place for a great snack and a glass (or bottle) of wine with friends, but there are enough restaurants in the area that you might consider getting you dinner entree somewhere else.”
“The pizzas are delicious and the specials are always unique.”
“Great wine selection and I love love love the staff!”
“Reasonable prices and a great atmosphere make this place hard to beat even on smith street.”

“Service is sometimes messy and a bit slow when you're there but the food is worth it.”
Amazing service every time!. My husband and I go at least once a month. Each time, we are wow'ed by the service. Especially with the knowledge of the wait staff with regard to the wine list. Service has always been top-notch and pleasant. There is a waitress there with an English accent that really knows her stuff and is funny to boot. We love going there for the service AND the food. Always SO good.
HORRIBLE waiters. While the food at Savoia is good and well priced, the service is unacceptable. I've been there a few times and the hostess is rude and the waiter completely ignored us as soon as we sat down. I would probably just get pick up from there next time because of the poor/rude service. Very disappointing.
Prosciutto, Prosciutto, Prosciutto. If you like cured meat and delicious cheeses, get in your car immediately and go to savoia. I have never, in my life been so confident with the freshness of anything i have eaten. The meats and cheeses are soft and delicious - you will wonder what you have been eating at other restaurants. That being said, besides great appetizers and good service (and an extensive wine list) the dinner entrees are a bit of a disappointment. I would recommend this place highly if you are looking for a place for a great snack and a glass (or bottle) of wine with friends, but there are enough restaurants in the area that you might consider getting you dinner entree somewhere else.
Avoid..check who's working FIRST. I usually go to Savoia at least one time a week....the food is delicious and usually the staff is friendly bul lately they hired people, really Italian which is good for the ambient but they have to understand that we are in Brooklyn and They have to speak ENGLISH.....the other night I had to repeat my order four times...and the food came out wrong.....
solid italian. standard italian fare, much more centered on vegetables which they do well. The meats are solid but nothing special.
Neighborhood Mainstay. I keep coming back to SAVOIA every few weeks or so. The pizzas are great and so are the pastas. My most favorite is the pesto pasta. Couple that with inexpensive but impressive wine list and you have a winning restaurant.
warm and cozy. This was exactly the meal I was looking for on a cold Friday night. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. The staff was very accomodating. The appetizers were delicious as was the bread. (roasted red pepper bruchetta and beet salad) I had ordered the vegetable Lasagna- beware- it comes in a buttery cream sauce that was not specified on the menu. I explained to our waitress that I had no idea that it didn't come in a red sauce and I am not able to eat cream sauce. I instead ordered the rigatoni alla norma which was delicious. She kept apologizing for the miscommunication and was very nice about it. Remember to check your bill- we almost got charged for 2 bottles of wine when we ordered one. Overall, the meal was tasty and the atmosphere was great. I would return to this place.
Warm and Cozy. I love the dishes in this place. They don't always match, but they're so colorful and warm--just like the restaurant. If you sit on one side of the restaurant, you can see the brick oven they use to cook pizza. Almost every waiter or waitress i've had there has been from a foreign country, which leads to interesting conversations and fun guess-the-accent games. The food is filling and delicious, and always savory and well-spiced, but not overly so. Great desserts. Attentive staff. Cozy atmosphere and friendly patrons.
much selection. I love the atmosphere - very airy and relaxed. There are many great options for kinds of pizza. I'm also a fan of the salads and the cheese paltes. The wines are only so-so. Overall - this is defintite pick for me.
Good Pizza, Delicious Bruschette, Friendly Staff. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Pizza was pretty good; especially the Greca pie. The gorganzola dolce bruschette was fantastic as were the breaded peppers. The nutella pizza for dessert was the perfect finish. Definitely recommend this spot.
