“The atmosphere at this lounge/bar is very unpleasant.”
“The drinks are interesting and yummy as well.”
“Great happy hour specials and a wonderful selection of beers on tap (not to mention the selection of bottled ones)”
“It was a great place that was usually uncrowded and pleasant.”
“The foremost problem is that the waiters/bartenders are very rude and I have observed them actually cursing at customers.”
“happy hours are great but even afterwards, all the delicious beers (like lindemann's raspberry lambic), mixed drinks (try the sakerinha), and food dishes (mmmmediterranean platter) you and your friends order will add up to a totally affordable price.”
“Friendly and I was happy I choice it even though it was on a whim and last minute.”
Didn't even make it in the door. All i wanted was a cool place to chill for a couple of hours in the late afternoon - all i got was a rudeness from the guy opening up. i didn't spend any money or time there, but if you can get past the staff it looks like a nice place.
NO NEED TO GO TO THE CITY!!!.
You have to disregard any reviews prior to April 08! Patio is now under different management (Adrienne, AKA Queen), and she is really trying to create that nostalgic "neighborhood hot spot" feel! the venue is available to host any type of event (50-60 people) and the locals keep the atmosphere nice and relaxed! Afterwork parties can begin as early as 5pm. and easily blend into the night time flow of the lounge!! As your musical host, I'm devoted to providing the best range of music so that everyone feels like its THEIR night!

True neighborhood bar. awesome relaxed atmosphere bar. Great barstaff, willing to chat with you if you're alone. All sorts of happenings each nite. Outdoor smokin, inside SMOKIN HOT GIRLZ!
Best Beer Blends in the SLOPE!!!. This place is pretty snazzy! patio lounge has that warm and fuzzy sloper sensibility -- in that you can totally chill out in their super comfy sofas while drinking a beer. this spot is superb for a pre-dinner date, because it doesn't get too crowded during happy-hours, and the lighting makes everyone look hot yo! they got tons of special beers on tap! you gotta try their white raspberry (half berry, half hoegaarden)!!! ask sylvia what this blend is really called while she pours you a tall one! it's the best in town!!!
Excellent Service.
I had a suprise for my boyfriend at the time ( now my hubby) . I had about 10-15 friends with me, had cake ordered Sangria's they were real good. Had a blast the wait staff was aswome and accomedating and it was real nice.
Friendly and I was happy I choice it even though it was on a whim and last minute.
I had such a good time and had something for a girl friend afterwards. I am not into bars ..The lounge part was good and great place to have a little gathering
local dive. It's the only casual bar left on the street. You can hang there all night, the drinks are cheap but strong, and the crowd is still Brooklyn chill rather than the latest East Village invasion. Solid live dj's and cool local art on the walls round out the place. The only decent place left.
Whuh Happened?.
Patio used to be great. That is, until they got their liquor license.
It was a great place that was usually uncrowded and pleasant. The drinks were strong and cheap. They served beer and cocktails made, usually, with sake. I know most raved about their lychee sake-tini. I liked the chill out Brooklyn vibe (live DJ) and the swell bartenders. Unfortunately, the frat patrol found out about our little oasis after Patio began serving hard booze. Now, the bathrooms get ripped up, drunk a-holes trip all over the place, and nobody has room to breathe. It kind of sucks. Maybe it was only the weekend crowd.
It's still a cool spot. Go early enough or during the week. And complain about the new Manhattan prices and attitude. First Great Lakes and now this!
Best little place ever.
This is a small little bar in my neighborhood with japanese writing on the wall and cool lighting and always chill music. I've lived in this area for over 5 years and there is a difference between before this place got here and after. (Patio's been here for about 3 years by the way) I dont know what that other guy was talking about - I love the bartenders here, they're always really cute and definitely friendly but they don't take crap from drunken sailor types, thats for sure.
This is always my favorite place to hang out any day of the week. I go into Manhattan to get a change and visit my friends, and I always miss the vibe, prices and atmosphere at Patio.
Good with a group. Stopped by with a group of friends over the weekend; relaxed seating and alot of beers on the list. Good laid back place in general.
unpleasant atmosphere. The atmosphere at this lounge/bar is very unpleasant. The foremost problem is that the waiters/bartenders are very rude and I have observed them actually cursing at customers. The selection is very limited and the place sometimes feels very deserted.
