This place is great for lunch, dinner, or even a quiet drink at sunset. Where else in NYC can you sit on a deck and watch the boats pass. As for the food, the best crabs north of baltimore. The staff is friendly, curtious and treat you like part of the family. I've been a customer for many years and the food and service are second to none. I love this place.
Pretty good food, pretty good service – Good for a snack if you are in the neighborhood
The food was tasty and brought to our table quickly.
It was a bit noisy the night we were there because of a party, but otherwise no complaints.
Feels like you are on vacation! – Over the years I am always looking for a place to be outside on nice nights and have I found it! I have to say that being a customer for years I have never had a bad experience. The staff is fabulous and very helpful. The place is very crowded on the weekends and I have learned to call ahead. The food is over the top, this weekend I tried the lobster special and let me tell you I'll be back for more. My waitress highly recommended it and as always she was right. The service is like no other and they are more then happy to make recommendations. Go there with an appetite and some time, it's always like going to a friends for dinner!
Worth the trip! – My friend recommended this restaurant, so I gave it a try last night. I found nice casual outdoor dining and a nicer outdoor bar area. The food is good and the outdoor ambiance was just as good. The waitress we had was sweet. Patience is necessary as I was told that all food was cooked to order. That was fine, since I was able to enjoy a couple of those fancy frozen drinks I saw others sipping on at the bar. My choice, the frozen marguerita! If you have time and you aren't looking for just a meal, but a night out, then this is your place. The whole experience is what my rating is based upon. I will be back!
TERRIBLE Service - Great Crabs – I have dined at Celementes a few times and always like the food. I mainly go for the crabs and the affordable drinks. However, the past couple of times that I visited, I experienced terrible service! The host was very nice and tried his best to seat us promptly, but the servers were awful. Once we were seated we waited 35 minutes for someone to just take our order - despite me asking 4 separate servers for help. My water was only filled once - again I had to ask twice and the entire time I felt ignored. To get cocktail sauce - I actually had to walk to the kitchen and ask for it myself. I also wouldn't recommend this place for families. There were numerous customers that were trashed INSIDE the restaurant - swearing, falling all over the place and no one did anything - they appeared to be friends with management. The food is great, the view is great, but the service and ambiance is horrific.
Wow!!! – Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great dinner and fun time me and 7 friends had for my 40th Birthday. The outdoor deck is great and the food was amazing. I didn't eat crabs but my friends who did said they where great. I had steak and it was very good.
I hope to go back soon. Cheers to the staff at Clementes Crabhouse.
What a good time – A friend told me about a restaurant she heard a buzz about and knowing how much I love Blue Claw Crabs we went to check it out. It happened to be Karaoke night and besides dinner it was like watching a show in front of my eyes. We where there for 2 1/2 hours and laughed and enjoyed dinner and the people sitting next to us where wonderful. I will be back there soon!!!

Great time and casual dining – Had a great time and will definatley go back a few times this summer.I stayed for 3 hours after dinner and had a very relaxed time. My kids had a great time as well.
Horrible Experience! – went to have dinner with my husband & 2 kids (teenagers). They ordered chicken, linguini & clams , oysters, clams & mussels among other things. I was the only one that asked for the All U Can Eat Crabs. I was reminded by the weitress with every other bucket( by the way 2 to 3 crabs in a bucket) that there was no sharing (no one in my family likes crabs thats why they ordererd something diferent). We went there because of me because I love crabs. We were there for a couple of hours, having wine and enjoying the afternoon. My husbands was just ordering everything from this menu to keep up with me and my crabs. I got so annoyed to be repeated over & over not to share (and I wasn't) I probably ate 8 - 10 very small crabs in total, that I asked to speak to the manager who was one of the owners and went over and complaint to him about the embarrasement I felt from the waitress. He was even worse, he automatically took the waitress defense with no apology what so ever (Ive never seen a owner defend so vigorously his employee) , totally rude towards me and my family to the point of walking away from us while I was speaking (what ever happened to customers come first?). We were 4 and spent $165.00 just to have a horrible closing experience. We usually eat out every week-end and I have never been so humiliated or treated as bad as in this place. I actually apologized to my family for the bad choice in restaurant I made. Besides the food was just ok. I would definitely NOT recomend this place. If to begin the owner has no class, can you imagine?
NOT EXACTLY MARYLAND CRABCAKES! – The Maryland Crab Cake appetizer is not what one who's had TRUE MARYLAND CRAB CAKES would expect. The portion to say the least is somewhat miniscule, and not of great substance and quality. A true Maryland crab cake has succulent lumps of lump style crab meat in a little patty with nice seasoning. These were 3 tiny flat little crabcakes that were not much bigger than a postage stamp. They consisted of shredded, flaked boring stuff that was definitely not lump crabmeat. The lobster was nothing better than average. The vegetables were very boring, especially the potatoes that were nothing more than a chunked out spud salted and diced. The broccoli was just lightly steamed and drowned with minced garlic-- NOT GOOD!!!
The Maryland Crab Soup was very tasty, but the bowl was not much bigger than a cup. The filet mignon was OK but honestly NOTHING TO RAVE ABOUT. The ease of finding this place would be better with a few signs guiding you in the right direction. The phone staff, although pleasant, could not guide you there on a bet! This was my first visit and, needless to say, did not leave me with a great impression.
