I recently picked up my invitations and we couldn't be happier. We worked with Mel and not only was she friendly, she was incredibly helpful. We had a very specific idea in mind and she made it a reality. She knew exactly which vendors could make our inviation and who could stay within our budget. Mel was available to answer any questions via e-mail and always offered great suggestions. Mel was also very respectful of our budget and went out of her way to present affordable options. Our invitations are unique and beautiful. HIGHLY recommended.

LION IN THE SUN IS AWESOME!. I just picked up my wedding invitations here and they are incredible. Mel and the entire staff are very sweet and were incredibly patient with us since we decided to take part in the design process and there was a lot of back and forth. I trusted them completely and they really listened to what we wanted. I could not be happier with these invitations and would recommend Lion in the Sun to anyone!

Great selection, service with a smile. Our invitations came out great and we've gotten so, so, so many compliments on them - thanks, in part, to all the friendly and helpful efforts of the nice people at Lion in the Sun!!! You get a whole team when you go there for your printing needs!! Melinda, the owner, knows everything and is really reassuring. They do their best to make your choices as affordable as possible.

Best Place for Wedding Invites and more!. I can't say enough about Lion in the Sun and its owner Melinda! Melinda and her team helped me select all the various paper products for my wedding .. from the save-the-dates to the invitations to the menus! They worked with us to customize everything! Anytime we wanted to change anything -- they worked with us to make it perfect. Melinda really is wonderful and patient -- especially with my husband and his crazy ideas over colors! Everything came out beautiful and Melinda really made the whole process so much fun with no stress ... I was never worried about anything - because the team at Lion in the Sun is so professional and responsive! I can't recommend this place more highly .... Lara

Best Service Around, Amazing Invitations. My fiance and I had to get our wedding invitations in a hurry. We planned our wedding just 7 weeks in advance. We tried using finestationery dot com, but the proof they created was horrible.

We canceled our order. We did research and found Lion in the Sun. We live in Manhattan and I'm so glad we decide to take the trip out to Brooklyn.

Melinda, the owner, helped us do a rush order. We had a custom design done that was perfect. We had the perfect fonts, the right spacing, great colors. Melinda walked us through all the endless options for the paper, the border, the monogram, the motif, and the envelops. She was so nice and so helpful.

You could tell she really wanted to help us, she wasn't trying to just rush us through the process or trying to upsell us on anything. She was quite simply awesome to work with.

We got the invitations 5 business days later. They look badass. We took them to our calligrapher and she commented they were the prettiest invitations she'd ever seen.

I am so happy with the people at Lion in the Sun. They were so helpful and nice. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Worth the trip. After moving from Brooklyn, NY to Portland, OR we were engaged to be married. I was greatly looking forward to doing the invitations and thought this would be one of my favorite aspects of planning our wedding, until I visited stationery stores in the Portland area. The customer service was vitually non-existent with sales staff at multiple stores barely saying more than "hello". I was so frustrated that my excitement about our invitations had faded.

I had done custom holiday cards and stationery through Lion in the Sun while living in Brooklyn and recalled the incredible customer service that I had received with both experiences. Fortunately we had a trip planned to New York and I knew that a visit to Lion in the Sun was in order -- and they did not disappoint!

Melinda assisted us while we combed through the incredible selection of custom stationery books that they have available. Their options range from budget friendly to over-the-top invitations with everything in between. The options are limitless.

We knew we wanted a contemporary invitation and Melinda helped guide us through every step of the selection process -- from narrowing down paper and printing style preferences to advising us on wording that reflected the more casual nature of our wedding. We simply could not have created the "perfect" invitation without her help. The entire experience was a pleasure and has me giddy in anticipation of sending the invites to our guests.

I only hope that Lion in the Sun will consider a west coast location in their future.

Attentive Service, the best selection, and great prices!. I had a very small budget, and was apalled by how much wedding invitations cost at other stores and online. Lion In The Sun worked with us to customize the perfect wedding invitations wihtin our budget. Melinda was full of great ideas and was very patient. I am so glad I met LITS and recommend them to anyone! Thanks for making this a fun part of our wedding planning!

Cards!. Though I haven't used the custom services here, I'm duly impressed every time I visit by the selection of fun, beautiful, and classy cards. Sure, they're not cheap (usually $3-6), but I think it's worth it to find a card that's appropriate and not silly or crappy. I've come in for cards for congratulations, weddings, sympathy, birthday, and no reason. Most cards are blank in the inside, which suits me perfectly.

Awesome personalized service!. My fiance and I are originally from NY but now live in Maryland. We spent months looking for that perfect invitation everywhere - on line, in stores... we decided to check out some places in NY while visiting family in Brooklyn and drove by Lion in The Sun a few times on our way to other destinations. On a whim we decided to just to "pop in" - oh what luck! Even though we didn't have an appointment and it was close to closing time they were still happy and eager to help us. Kalin was our rep - and she was amazing.. so knowledgeable about the inventory of designers and full of ideas to help us be creative and stay within budge, but most of all so patient!

Since we were from out of town and had to head back - we had to rely a lot on follow up emails and phone calls - but they never missed a beat. Between Kalin and Melinda they took care of everything - even when we changed our minds about the design and had to come up with something new... they were helpful, creative and flexible - and to top it off our invitations were just beautiful!
