charged me for service they did not provide.
took my sewing machine in to be cleaned, oiled and tension adjusted. i was told i would he would "tinker" with it (that should have been my red flag) and i would be called same or next day to advise when to pick up. NEVER RECEIVED CALL. 3rd day i went to shop. machine on floor with ticket 8707 still attached. when i compared the tension of the sample they left in the machine to the sample i took the first day to show that the tension was only slightly off...BOTH SAMPLES WERE THE SAME.
tech said sample they use is cheap fabric (that was why they sewed it triple layer -even i know that fabric is sewed double to see if working properly) and if i left it longer he would attempt to adjust it for double layered sewing. (that doesnt make sense because a technician is supposed to do the work correctly the first time) he said it had been oiled and cleaned but since i didnt want to leave for more adjustment he
would only charge me $20..their minimum fee is $9.99. the extra $10 was for oiling and cleaning.
when i got home i noticed that the area that houses the light wasnt clean. i removed the plastic casing from the bottom of the machine and huge pieces of lint fell out! and the metal is still dry! the machine was returned to me exactly the way i gave it to them SO THEY CHARGED ME $20 FOR NOTHING. i have to waste additional time and money finding/using a differenent shop and can not keep the deadline i promised my customer as a result.. i havent tried to sew on the machine yet but am praying that they have not damaged my machine...
