great soul food

i havent had a lot of soul food in my food experiences, but i do know what tastes good. and the soul spot's fare is exceptional. for nine dollars, i can have an amazing meal with some leftover for a nice midnite snack. they really pile it on.

i wholly recommend all the food, theyre full of flavor and never disappoint. my favorites? j3rk(the regular word is detected as "inappropriate") chicken with fresh fried plaintains and mac&cheese.

the decor is not much to look at, but for me, its all about the food and company.

Best Soul spot

One of mine and my husband's favorite places. Its the place we go to before we take a long trip out of the city and the first place we go when we get back home. The Best Meatloaf ever, take it with the mashed potatoes & corn and it is the perfect comfort food. Best enjoyed as take out or delivery, ambiance is lacking- its all function no form.

• Pros: prices are great for the quality and the amount of food
• Cons: all function not much form- but they do have a huge mirror.

I love this place

The food is amazing. The meatloaf and chicken and dumplings are fantastic, and every side dish I have had has been amazing. Highly recommend.

You should get the food for take out
