This takeout joint and British grocery puts an English spin on Indian cuisine..
In Short
This inexpensive and unusual Anglo-Indian spot is too small for tables, and to cut energy costs, the food is served cold. (Patrons are instructed heat up the grub at home.) A selection of curries, such as aloo chana masala, chicken vindaloo, and shrimp madras, sit in a refrigerator alongside ready-to-heat sides, like saffron basmati rice, saag paneer, and naan. U.K. expats come here for hard-to-find British grocery goodies, like Marmite, Walker's crisps, Hobnobs, and Cadbury chocolate.
