It's unique due to the Italian flavor - friendly to kids - and long standing clientele - but atmosphere has been tense due to non-professional stylist who has attacked owner and family repeatedly - been fired for harassing the family - and wont stop making calls in Albanian to the owners...

I have been coming to Vespa salon since it's grand opening 7 years ago. I was a loyal and happy customer always, until Shlomy started working there and then I stopped coming due to his rudeness, arrogance, constant whining, lack of people skills and domestication. Recently, I heard that he is no longer around and I decided to come back and give Sergio and Vespa Salon a new try. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the rebirth of this family oriented salon. He has some new faces that are a real talent and are pleasant to be around. Vespa Salon is a surefire bet to bring yourself and the whole family to experience something very unique in Park Slope. Old world charm with modern day flair. Sergio and crew are stars on the rise once again and will definitely not disappoint. To really understand you must go and experience it for yourself. Bravo!!!!

I have been taking my kids to Sergio for years - before he had his own business - He gave my kids their first haircut and took pictures for me! He makes the kids feel so special -I guess it comes from being a great dad himself - the kids are free to roam around without getting dirty looks - carriages are welcome - Sergio knows how to communicate with kids - he lives in their world through his own little ones. He maked the kids feel special and look Fashionably cool - he smiles and makes jokes and the kids love him! He knows all about upcoming events especially the ones having to do with Italian Culture - His family's major interest - and also sports - all the italian campioni - the kids love the Italian experience!
