“there was a full grown insect( the kind that survives everything if you catch my drift) with wings on my friends' dinner napkin as we were deciding what to have for dessert.”
“The bar is crowded but the mojitos are unbelievable, the food is amazing and cheap and the music, sometimes too loud, is awesome.”
“The food was great, atmosphere is excellent and the place is nice.”
“Everything on the menu is reasonably priced & I'd recommend the porkchops, drunkman noodles & crispy banana dessert.”
“Overall, great place to go with a big group of friends who are looking for a good time.”
“As much as I enjoyed the food I would never go back which is really sad, but this is New York and there are PLENTY of other great restaurants minus the attitude!”
“I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first- complaints about service are fair.”
“Good Thai food for a great price”
“We had great Sauvignon Blanc served in an ice bucket, a minute after it was ordered; and that all at a packed place that can sit about 300 ppl on Sat night!”
great job. Excellent and authentic. That's what you look for in a foreign restaurant.
spicy and fresh service a little slow. im usually not the biggest fan of thai food usually, but this place was great. fresh ingredients, well seasoned- my only grievance was the extended waiting period. i think it mustve been 40 minutes before my food arrived- no matter id still go back!
excellent. this place has been consistent with great good fantastic service and reasonable prices. glad to see others on Citysearch love it as well ! five stars !
Worse than 4 dollar takeout.. How about an empty restaurant but they sit you next to the washroom? How about your appetizers and main course come at the same time? How about you can't eat anything? How about you pay the bill and go to Crif Dogs like we did to eat for 12 bucks because this whole restaurant is such a waste of time. Also this experience left me pissed off for a couple of hours and ruined an otherwise great night.
Amazing Thai!.
So it's Firday night, you want to go out and have fun but you are starving as well...Where to go? My recommendation is Sea Thai Restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I went about a week ago with a couple friends and had a blast. A DJ plays music constantly all night and it is packed. Although the wait for a table is usually around an hour and reservations are only for groups of more than 10 it is completely worth it. While you wait, they have a bar with delicious and very affordable cocktails. My personal favorite is the Mango Margarita (these will make you forget about the wait).
The food is amazing on the other hand with a fine dining feel and very polite waiters. The bathrooms can get a little bit crowded but have a very cool modern feel to them. Portion sizes are rather large and appetizers are well made. I highly recommend trying their calamari. Desert wise i wasn't a fan but there are plenty of other places in the area that have sweats.
The Best Thai Food in NYC.
This place is the Shi!@.
If you are looking for authentic Thai food, SEA is the place.
I love this place and everyone who I've taking there has fell in Love with the explosion of flavors.
My recommendation of the week, Tamarindo Salmon dish.
What You Don't SEE at SEA....
***SEA*** Restaurant in Williamsburg
1 FLY is in the food is enough to make me walk out, but 2 FLIES covered in sauce WTH??? Maybe they dim the lights so low because they don't want you to see the bugs coming out with your plate. Flies cannot survive in cold weather which tells me that their home and breeding grounds is the kitchen at Sea. Eat there at your own risk.
My sister noticed the fist fly on her plate and it was covered in wing sauce stuck to her plate. (she didn't say anything to me because she thought I'd make us leave.) As I was ordering my meal (looking up at the waitress) the waitress noticed a second fly flopping around on the table in front of me. she ran around to my side of the table grabbed a menu and killed the fly and slid it onto the floor with the menu (GROSS), then she said the fly came in from outside. Yeah Right. Its winter!!!
WHERE THERE IS 1 FLY THERE IS 100 MORE waiting to make a guest appearance.
I was a little suspicious at the fact that the appetizers came out before drinks. Maybe they were trying to be quick and forgot to pick the flies out the chicken wings.
I refused the drinks spoke to the manager and left.
This was my second time there and my first experience went quite well, I though the food was pretty good and reasonably priced.
I gave this restaurant a 2 because the mood and decor is beautiful and eclectic. But thats as good as it gets for me.
great place. This place has a great variety of drinks and really good food.
Best Food and customer service. i have to say the place looks wonderful. the food is so-so, they seem to use the same sauce in almost every dish..duck sauce..or some type of sweet but yet sourish sauce. customer service, i would not say is the best. if you try to file a complaint against any of their employees, they speak good for their employees and their employees only. i had a problem with one of their employees, and the manager didn't even know how to apologize and make up for his employee's rudeness, in fact he was trying to explain that his employee is like every other human being, and that they make mistakes. its one thing to make a minor mistake but its another thing to insult a customer.
