I am in the process of researching a hair removal treatment for myself and maybe for my sister. I am a guy and looking for full body treatment. I went in to R&J for consultation a couple of weeks ago. I've also consulted with two other places in Manhattan.<p> Things I look for: Professional, patient, courteous staff. Clean organized environment. Good machines. Competitive pricing. I'll comment on my consultation and patch test. The Good: Great convenient location, clean, comfortable office, friendly staff, owner (Chris) is very involved and available, kept office open late to accomodate my consultation (Thanks!), great powerful machines (they used the Candela Gentlemax on me, but they have other models, maybe other brands too), specialize just in hair removal (no other "spa/salon" distractions), free comprehensive patch test (tested multiple areas), effective laser (definitely zapped the hair). The Bad: Price! The quote I got was off the scale compared to other providers. For the cost of one full body session at R&J, I could get 6 + 6 touchups at a competing Manhattan provider. I was expecting R&J to be more expensive. A full body package would cost more than a new car. It's especially expensive since my dark hair and light skin should be one of the easiest for this procedure. I have to say that I did not try to negotiate at this point since I have not decided on a provider yet. However, it is going to be hard to negotiate with a price so far out of the ballpark. Other than price, I can't find any negative items to comment yet. Since I am still evaluating provider and systems, I can't say if R&J's pricing is appropriate for their services. I will say that if their pricing was close to their competitors, I would probably choose R&J even if a little more expensive. I know there is some controversy between Laser versus IPL, so I am still researching the effectiveness of the different machines. I still question which system delivers longer term results.

As a man I was too shy to go to a laser center until I met Chris.I found out that man could also get rid of their hair.Now,my wife is too happy and we have a better life!!!!!
