the second worst res on montague st – The only thing this place has going for them is that they are open 24 hours a day. the burgers taste really bland.
the service is still slow since the last time ive eaten there with my man two years ago before they renovated. The place is still dirty saw roaches coming out from under my table. The coffee they served must have been in the pot for hour because it didnt feel fresh drank some of it and ended up going to the ladies room more then once sorry rather not come back.
running out of good restaurants – Iam sorry to say were running out of res in the heights so for a while me and my friends get stuck in this rat hole.
I still see ants under the tables and the busboy mopping the floor while the place is busy. In most cases they dont get the orders right and it takes over 20 min to get everything done. I use to call for delivery late at night after everybody closes same old story wrong thing delivered to us. this place is only good to get a bagel and a coffee to go before you hop on the train everything else a waste of time and money.
very few things going for it – These people think that just because they had a renovation that all of a sudden they were going to get ahead. I wasnt impressed to be honest with you. The service is still slow and arrogant, place still smells dirty as a whole. There was body odor from one of the servers.
My plate was a little dirty when my food was served i didnt even start to eat just walked out. I remember when i used to call for delivery in the winter even then my order was always taken wrong or the food took an hour to get over there. I will stick to either the canyon or the cobble hill diner food and service are alot better.
stomach ache food – My husband and I ate here two weekends ago. I ended up getting sick the next day whoever was cooking that night wasnt paying attention ended up catching a severe stomach ache. to make matters worse the service was really slow. The only thing this place has going for it is that it is 24 hours.
it felt like the locker room in my gym – My wife and myself at at this diner a few weekends ago.
The food tasted horrid and the staff was very slow in serving it took an hour to get served and the check. The waiter that served us that night smelled worse then the people i share the locker room with in the gym i go to in manhatten. they are not what they made themselves out to be. the check was a rip off too getting a huge service charge written on there never going back.
lousy environment and food – I went to Happydays last saturday for lunch and noticed that when i ordered there is no air conditioner, hot as hell couldnt believe it. I ask the waiter why dont we have ac in hear its very hot he says we haif to cut costs on coned.
by the time I got served lunch the burger so soft it melted in my mouth. The fries tasted terrible i think the only reason why they are still open is because people in the heights have nowhere to go after midnight.
Happy Days are here again! – It's nice to find a place that is open 24 hours (especially in downtown Brooklyn). The food is great and the milkshakes are even better!
24-hour diner...thank god – With everything else closed in the Heights after midnight apart from the bars, it's good to have a classic 24-hour diner. It's feels like a greasy-spoon kind of place, but the food is better than that. It is what it is...I'm not sure I'd go here often for a regular meal, but at 3 AM, it can't be beaten.
Happy Days are here again – Happy Days Diner is a nice restaurant to hangout in. The atmosphere is 1950's but a burger won't cost you 10 cents. The place is great except that it doesn't have an A/C
