What People Are Saying About Carol's Daughter

In Short – Though founder Lisa Price's skin-care lines have been featured on "The Today Show," "The View" and "Oprah," her store feels down-to-earth and homey. That's not surprising given the nature-inspired products that line the shelves, such as Lemon Ginger Mint Manicure in a Jar and Sage and Shea Foot Butter. All of the Carol's Daughter lines, whether for hair, body or face, are all-natural, and they cater to diverse ethnicities and both men and women. The mishmash of world art--African baskets, a Buddha, Asian art--reinforces their mission.
Beauty Down to Nature
by eveningside at Citysearch
Upon entering, I was bathed in lovely herbal/fruity/fragrant aromas. The environment was warm, calming, intimate. This Brooklyn shop is lined with all groups of beauty products: hair care, skin care, fragrances (such a unique choice of scents, too). Very heavily influenced by nature, herbals, aromatic oils, and an African essence.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to another Carol's Daughter terminal in the nearby mall, which can serve as a back up (they sold me their very last discontinued essential oil collection!).
Can't wait to visit the new one on 125th.
- Pros: Unique beauty products and fragrances. Warm atmosphere.
- Cons: None
