Brooklyn >Salon De Quartier
“The atmosphere is professional yet friendly, supremely clean, and energetic.”
“really like this salon, the host is really nice, and always gets you coffee etc, but I have been a few times, and each time gotten different people.”
“went to this salon because it was convenient and looked professional but I can't decide whether this is a good place to go or not.”
“Although everyone here was very friendly, I wouldn't recommend this place if you have curly hair.”
“went to the one on Nassua- and got a haircut with Aki- and have gone back ever since- the time and effort he takes on my hair is worth every penny- ($62, pretty good compared to other places) - the staff is always friendly and willing to squeeze me in (”
Excellent service from start to finish!.
I have been a customer for over 5 years and I finally decided after today's visit it was time to write a review. I stopped in for my flash highlights (red). I loved how Yelena knew the perfect size of chunking I needed and shade to use.
After the color I usually do my own drying (it's an option) when suddenly one of the stylist, Jean Paul had some down time and offered to dry for me. I was surprised that he offered just because he wanted to, not because he HAD to and that is great customer service! While he was drying my hair, I had a FREE manicure by Vera, who is an amazing nail artist.
I almost forgot to mention the amazing coffee. I think I would go again just for another latte!
Granted I was there on a Sunday, and it was before the rush, so keep this in mind if you are hoping to get the full treatment. Speaking for myself, I couldn't be happier. I love the look and already received a compliment on my way home, I only live two blocks away ;-)
OMG I like this place so much.
I was in a bad mood and needed a change.
I decided to try this salon...
First of all I had the best cappuccino ever... slurp
The music choice was good too!!
The staff is all nice and smiling and the atmosphere is joyful, they like their job and they make you feel really good.
Then, while waiting for my color to be done I had a free manicure!!! wow!!!
I decided the color with their help and also cut my hair a lot.
I completely changed my look and was sooo happy of the result.
Finally I found my haidresser!!!
They are all professional and nice.
I really recommend this place!!!
Excellent Salon with high qualified Staff!.
I am usually very picky when it comes the time when I do have to cut my hair and do my highlights.
But finally I can tell that I found the perfect salon with the right hairstylist of my life.
Salon de Quartier Hirstylist is just amazing, I didn’t have to speak too much with the hairstylist Lina but she understood immediately what I really wanted for the color and for the cut.
She became my hairstylist Guru. thanks!
The salon is very cozy, comfortable and all the staff is pretty high qualified, I was looking at other hairstylists while waiting and I was excited by their way of working.
The girl that washed my hair gave me a relaxing head massage …she was great!!!
The BEST hair salon in NY. I'm from Barcelona and since I moved to nyc it has been difficult to find a good hairsalon. I'm so happy I finally found it! I'm in love with the hair cut and the color / highlights. Since then a lot of people asked me where I did my hair. Customer service is excellent and the hostess is very friendly :-) My hairstylist, Lina is just AMAZING and she did excatly what i wanted.
This is going to be my Hair Salon from now on.
BEST ATMOSPHERE EVER!!!. This place is amazing!!! First, when i arrived, the host was pretty nice and she offered me a wonderful cappucino... i had my INOA color and my haircut done by jean paul!!! he's fabulous!!! I didn't know INOA color before he introduce it to me... no smell no itching... i never see that!!! and the result is so beautiful!! And i almost forget to tell i had the best head massage ever!!! thank you salon de quartier team!!!
Pass this one up. Don't know how they're staying business. With hairdressers like Vilma they should close their doors.
worst haircut EVER, almost need a wig to hide it!.
First thing that should have scared me (and made me ran away before the girl start to cut my hair) is that she showed me a "book/menu" of hair cuts. A good hair stylist should look at you, and figure out what to do!
I have short hair, and it is not easy to do well if you are an amateur!
result is that I hate myself for now a month, I am wearring scarf, hat all day long.
Do not go to that place, NEVER!
Excellant cut, color, service etc..
I can not speak on other locations or stylists but I have been getting my hair done by David at the Dumbo location of Salon De Quartier for about a year now and he is fabulous! i have never had a cut or color that I haven't been 110% happy with - he is amazing! When my past hairstylist become a mother she decided not to come back to the salon - it took me two years to find David. Before finding him I had too many horrible hair-do's to recall. Everytime I show David a picture of the lastest hair crush he delivers!
David is super talented sytlist but also has an awesome personality that makes the experience a sheer pleasure. If you are considering Salon de Quartier see David and you will not be disspaointed.
Depends on your stylist.
I really like this salon, the host is really nice, and always gets you coffee etc, but I have been a few times, and each time gotten different people. I got my hair done for my wedding and it was great, but my sisters hair was awful and they had to give her a gift card to make up for it. the girl put hardly any product, and tried to curl her hair, which fell out before we had even left the salon!!!
today i got my hair done by sonji, i think is her name, and she is awful. she knocked me in the head about 3 times with the blowdrier and didn't even notice because she was to pre-occupied with her thoughts. I gave her a photo and told her what I wanted, and she just cut my hair, blew it dry, and with no elements to it. It looked like a poufy mess that i did myself while trying to do my own hair. plus she didn't even put product in my hair at the end, which made it look so frizzy and by the time i got home the style had fallen out. I am so unhappy with this stylist and dont recommend anyone go to her. I now have to go back and try and fix my hair, which is for free, but I paid enough for it the first time! 80$. I don't know if I really want to go back for fear of stylists I don't know.
Great even for the non-stylish. I am far from what you would consider a stylish gal. I randomly and infrequently get a hair cut. But this salon has treated me well over the years, beautifully prepping me for weddings and other special occasions. I've never felt self conscious or treated differently than the regulars. The stylists listen carefully to what I ask for and deliver, unlike other salons I've been to in the slope where the stylists have taken an "I know better than you approach." Only con is that I prefer Evada products, but that is minor.
