Stylists perform conditioning treatments, cuts, color and manicures, while guests wait on couches near the espresso machine and art gallery.

First thing that should have scared me (and made me ran away before the girl start to cut my hair) is that she showed me a "book/menu" of hair cuts. A good hair stylist should look at you, and figure out what to do!
I have short hair, and it is not easy to do well if you are an amateur!
result is that I hate myself for now a month, I am wearring scarf, hat all day long.
Do not go to that place, NEVER!
- Pros: nothing
- Cons: they have no idea of what they are doing!
Excellant cut, color, service etc.

I can not speak on other locations or stylists but I have been getting my hair done by David at the Dumbo location of Salon De Quartier for about a year now and he is fabulous! i have never had a cut or color that I haven't been 110% happy with - he is amazing! When my past hairstylist become a mother she decided not to come back to the salon - it took me two years to find David. Before finding him I had too many horrible hair-do's to recall. Everytime I show David a picture of the lastest hair crush he delivers!
David is super talented sytlist but also has an awesome personality that makes the experience a sheer pleasure. If you are considering Salon de Quartier see David and you will not be disspaointed.
- Pros: David, location
- Cons: None

I really like this salon, the host is really nice, and always gets you coffee etc, but I have been a few times, and each time gotten different people. I got my hair done for my wedding and it was great, but my sisters hair was awful and they had to give her a gift card to make up for it. the girl put hardly any product, and tried to curl her hair, which fell out before we had even left the salon!!!
today i got my hair done by sonji, i think is her name, and she is awful. she knocked me in the head about 3 times with the blowdrier and didn't even notice because she was to pre-occupied with her thoughts. I gave her a photo and told her what I wanted, and she just cut my hair, blew it dry, and with no elements to it. It looked like a poufy mess that i did myself while trying to do my own hair. plus she didn't even put product in my hair at the end, which made it look so frizzy and by the time i got home the style had fallen out. I am so unhappy with this stylist and dont recommend anyone go to her. I now have to go back and try and fix my hair, which is for free, but I paid enough for it the first time! 80$. I don't know if I really want to go back for fear of stylists I don't know.
- Pros: some stylists are good
- Cons: some stylists don't know what they are doing
