Fine Dining in the Exquisite Atmosphere of a True Tribeca Gem

  • Private Dining Room Available
  • Award Winning Wine List
  • Corporate & Private Events

When Jimmy Bradley launched the Red Cat in New York's Chelsea district, the restaurant became and instant and, as time has shown, enduring success. When he opened The Harrison in October 2001, Bradley again proved that his combination of bold, seasonally inspired, sincere hospitality, and thoughtful décor delivers a restaurant remarkably in tune with its neighborhood and the city at large. Drawing upon nearly two decades in the restaurant business, Bradley has placed his guests comfort and pleasure ahead of all other concerns, creating a welcoming destination for Tribeca residents and vistors alike.

Editorial Review for The Harrison – by Stephanie Rosenbaum

The Scene
Inside this elegant Tribeca charmer, candlelight flickers off creamy painted wainscoting and the welcome is warm, even to walk-ins. Owner Jimmy Bradley has the sophisticated-comfort vibe down pat; one could entertain a client or splurge with friends here with equal aplomb.

The Food
The kitchen has a happy affinity for seasonality and simplicity, letting the pure flavors of top-notch ingredients do the work. Deep orange wild King salmon gets a potent horseradish-lemon-Dijon mustard crust that stands up to the rich fish; a juicy pork chop is a marvel of tenderness, caramelized on the outside, silky pink within. There's a slight tendency to undercook the vegetables: Cute, thumbnail-sized Brussels sprouts and fat white butter beans may arrive semi-hard. But that just leaves more room for the splendid desserts, including a gorgeously tart Meyer lemon meringue pie, or a roulade of Valrohona chocolate mousse topped with a shimmering round of orange granita.

I love the Harrison! We ate there for the second time last night and had one of the best meals ever. Each course was perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful. The panna cotta for dessert was the perfect summer delight! The Harrison is our new favorite place.

OMG, the artichoke hearts appetizer. I've eaten there at least 10 times this year and cannot resist ordering that same appetizer every time. I love everything I've tried at the harrison, but I always end up dreaming about those artichoke hearts. Last time I was there I also had the lemon chicken and tried my husband's octopus salad and his lamb chop. It's a tossup which was my favorite. I could easily have finished his lamb chop if I hadn't stopped myself. We live nearby and in that neighborhood (tribeca) there are hardly any places you can go spur of the moment, for a great, fun meal. So we really love this place. It's a lot of fun eating at the bar. I've also been for birthdays and everyone I've brought there has loved it. I sent my friends there for an anniversary, because they wanted a place that was not stuffy or too "fancy" but still felt special, and they thought it was perfect. The waiters I've had were always really nice and knew their food. Always perfect service, and always delicious.
