Rico is an awesome furniture store, beautiful!. We bought a sofa recently from Rico and had the best experience possible! We shopped around and found their prices are comparable or less than other stores. It can be stressful to spend a lot of money hoping you are making the right decision, but Daniel, Mike and Rico had infinite patience in helping us choose the right shape and fabric for our Della Robbia sofa-- it is beautiful and well-made and looks fabulous in our room. (my friend who told me to look at a Room and Board sofa admits that there is no comparison, the Della Robbia is a work of art.)

They didn't pressure us, nor did they rush us. Delivery was timely and professional. We are totally happy and can't wait to shop there again.…

Shop at your own risk. I am buying a new 46" tv, and needed a tv stand. After a great deal of research, I found a BDI model. One of the places listed on the website to get it was Rico. Since I live in Park Slope, I walked over. The first time I went should have been my clue not to buy there. The store looked almost closed, and the "salesman" was not very helpful. I did more research and went back. The salesman was very helpful. He even moved the furniture, so I could see the color in light, since the store was dark. He gave me a talk about buying locally and I ordered the stand. I was told it would take 1-2 weeks. At 2 weeks, I called the store. He said it arrived the previous day, would have to be unboxed and assembled and he'd call with a delivery time. Almost 1 more week passed, and I called the store to find out what happened. They just had the stand and no one was doing anything about it. This was delaying getting my new tv, computer hook up, etc. I got angry at the nonchalance., explaining it was almost 3 weeks and if I didn't get the stand the next day, I was calling Mastercard and cancelling payment. He was supposed to call back with a time. I once again had to call them. I got a window of 12-2 for delivery (about 10 blocks from my house). No one showed up until 2:50; they had to borrow my screwdriver and the other tool they needed was in the truck. These are nice people, but they don't understand that delivery of the purchased product is part of the deal. He didn't understand my anger and frustration at waiting 3 weeks for an item that was in the store for 6 days, and that if I hadn't called and complained, it would still be "waiting for delivery." He said this is typical for NYC; I know it's not, since I've lived in the city and have had many larger purchases than a tv stand delivered. I would never buy anything from them again.…

One of the Best Furniture & Design shops in New York. I've been coming to Rico since 2004 and have always been impressed with his amazing, inviting, and compelling assortment of furniture and decor. Rico himself is often in the store and offers an extremely personal and welcome consult. He has waited patiently many times as I trolled through every possible combination of chairs, sofas, pillows, and fabrics. It's so laid back, I even bring my kids. He has always given me a great deal so I keep coming back. It's rare when you find a combination of amazing aesthetics, high quality, warm service, and reasonable prices.…
