Perfect after a walk through Prospect Park. The baristas are always pleasant. A cozy place, with a nice layout. Great coffee. Try it.

A Shame really........ this place has loud music, the food and drinks were okay, not great, cool atmosphere, but the main problem is the staff. The counter boy reprimanded my friend for being too loud, however, we couldn't even hear ourselves over the loud music. He explained that he had 'had a fourteen hour day and the loud noises needed to stop'....frankly, we were simply, trying, to enjoy ourselves and make the most out of the loud setting. I've never been in a place where some young man scolded a group of courteous adults who were trying to enjoy the atmosphere. This place has everything going for it and it's ruined by the rudeness of the staff.

Nestle Quick?!?!?. Went with my boyfriend here last weekend and ordered a Shot Chocolate, which comes with a shot of espresso. Noticed too late the crate of Nestle Quick sitting on the side of the bar. When I tasted my drink, sure enough that's what they used in my order, and my boyfriend confirmed it. I paid $4 and change for that? What kind of tea/coffee place DOES that?

Also, many patrons are rude in the amount of time and space they use for their I-Junk, when already it's crowded and others would like a place to actually, you know, eat and drink.

Never going back. Plenty of better places in this neighborhood.

My Favorite of the Tea Lounge's, Perfect After a Walk Through Prospect Park. The title says it all!! This spot s my favorite place to go after visiting Prospect Park. A cozy place, with a nice interior layout makes it inviting, while an attentive staff keeps the drinks comin'. They always remember my drink of choice too, (No I'm not one for a double mocha-latte frappuccino with a shot of hazelnut) Hot coffee and cream. Simple, but effective. I love it here, and the friendly baristas always have a smile!

Rude staff, mediocre drinks but free Wi-Fi. I live in the neighborhood and find that there are only a handful of nice coffee spots to just hang out in. This Tea Lounge appears like the perfect place but as you place an order you realize the customer service is not worthy of the tip jar that they keep at the counter. If you order a beverage other that standard coffee or tea, you may end up with a specialty drink that is more like bitter water with some foam and fancy cocoa dustings on top. But if you really need a place to use for working on a computer or just a change from your home office and you can get beyond the rude, lackluster staff then take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. It's also quiet enough to have a conversation in.

Superb Lounge. The Tea Lounge is a must visit when in NY. I was fortunate enough to have stayed within about a 1 minute walk from it the last time I was there. The atmosphere is great. The coffee is great. It is a little pricey, but what isn't in NY. Also, the staff could be considered a little on the rude side, but again, this is NY. I think everything about the Tea Lounge is great and it really gives the feel of a true NY hotspot. Don't miss it!

Cute place, terrible coffee. I've been here many times, mostly for the decor and to avoid going to Starbucks. Their muffins are great but surprisingly, I've always been incredibly let down by the drinks. The cafe latte tastes like hot water with milk and the chai tea I had there was so bitter I couldn't finish it. Probably the worst coffee and tea I've had outside of a diner. Also very expensive.

RUDE, Exspensive and mud coffee. Rude service. Smiles and friendliness don't come with the 3.50 iced coffee--that tastes like diluted mud from nearby prospect park or the 6.00 beers. But there are comfortable couches, always space for a seat and a relaxing atmosphere.
