Best Chinese Food in Brooklyn!.
The five stars above are prejudiced. I am the owner :) My wife and I purchased this restaurant on November 1, 2007. We have taken great pains to restore the establishment to its former glory. Our goal is to surpass the original owner Freddy Koo in taste and style. (We are the third set of owners in 21+ years of continuous operation.) In polling various customers, both new and old, it appears that we are well on the way to realizing that goal. We have new dishes and old favorites. Every few weeks we have a new special menu. (The new Roast Pork Bun is to die for!)
The food is healthy and delicious, and the service is uncompromising. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. You?ll be equally at ease for a romantic night out, a family gathering or party, as well as a small corporate event in our party room. Come on in! Try it! You won't be disappointed! We have the best Chinese food in Brooklyn!

Tickle Me Fun!.
I completely disagree with the previous reviewer. Kar is a fine establishment with the best Beef Chow Fun this side of the Pacific. The texture of their flat noodles is something that has to be experienced to understand. The service is great, my soup always arrives nice and hot. My only complaint might be the fortune cookies - I've never had a cookie predict bad luck for me before I visited Kar.

Once a grand place, its day is long gone.
Kar used to be the innovator of unique chinese food.. not the usual fare. It is now nothing but an overpriced establishment that is shamelessly riding on the coat tails of its past. The beef fried rice made my daughter think of every joke that mentions felines and chinese food in the same sentence. Even I questioned the contents. Also, my shrimp dish was not edible - the waiter and management ignored my complaints. I won't be riding in that KAR anymore, thats for sure.
