Once Good now a DUMP. WTF? This place is overrun with hipsters now. I used to like this place, hadn't been here for years, recently came back to the hood. This guy would NOT leave me and my girlfriend alone at the bar and the bartender did NOTHING to stop it. We complained TWICE and the bartender said he knew him an he was ok. IT IS NOT OK TO HARASS TWO WOMEN LIKE THAT Drinks tasted watered down and bathroom is a health violation. Won't go back. Ladies, beware of sideburn regular and his hands in front of bar and Don the Oblivious behind it. Hipsters go back to billyburg.

dive bar to end all dive bars. love love love freddys... I work at a restaurant a few blocks away and as soon as we close up for the night the entire staff heads right on over, no questions asked. First time i stopped in i was a little wary all those neon signs reminded me of the all the seedy bars my father told me to stay away from... walking in you find a warm friendly vibe and if you dont know the bartender, you will by the end of the night... the walls are crammed with random artwork, a shark, a giant marlin and anti bruce ratner and brooklyn brewery literature (a plus in my book) the back room is an outlet for unknown artists and a generally fun time... you cant go wrong at freddys.. cold beer, good friends and 4am doesn't necessarily mean its closing time...its the dive bar to end all dive bars

You can?t make a bar like this!. Freddy?s ????..trying to explain this place it like trying to explain flying to a bird ??.you just know it!

I can?t tell you anything more then go there????NOW !,

This place has so much TRUE soul! Even if you don?t live around here? your at home.

What more can you want from a bar cold beer, really good whiskey, great bar tenders and fun stuff all around you.

I have bin in the back room for some great music and some first time bands that need work. but you have to start some place and this is a place to start.

You never know what may be going on here but it?s going to be good

Love this place. this place is great, i love it from the good bartenders, to the friendly locals. Great place to just kick back with a beer and hang out with friends.

One of the borough's most beloved dives reigns supremely kooky in Prospect Heights.. In Short
Maybe it's the inspired interior, the mounted screaming squirrel and marlin, the in-house 'zine, the multimedia jam sessions, lack of a cover charge, art installations and excellent live music in the cozy backroom that have made this free-spirited joint so well-loved by a diverse crowd of locals. There are also theme shows, karaoke sessions, pub quizzes and pool games for people who like their watering holes wacky.

Love this place. Great friendly local bar feel. Don't miss the super-fun videos playing above the bar. Live music (back room) is hit or miss. Solid jukebox (main bar). You can go alone or with a group - I've never felt awkward or lonely here. Never been hit on by sleezy men here, either, which is a definite plus.

Yeah Freddy's!. I have checked here for a write up on this bar as it was my corner bar for almost 3 years. (Now I have to walk around the corner).

I've closed it down on a few occasions and I've gone solo on a few. Freddy's is just that kind of place. Decent live music too. What more could you ask?

Oh yeah, the video edits are hypnotic and compelling.

Don't miss the frogs. I love Freddy's -- the bartenders are always great, the crowd is usually good. It has a good neighborhood bar atmosphere, and the back room (actually a side room) is a good place to go if you have a large group. Also, frogs and other reptiles in aquariums provide something to do while you're waiting for the bathroom. The neighborhood is fine if you're leaving with a group, but loners might want to call a local car service, as the area is a bit deserted late night.

Love this bar!. This place rocks! The bartenders are super nice, the atmosphere is super laid back, the drinks are cheap, the vibe is divey and there's a secret back room that's huge. If you live near by, check it out. It's definitely a neighborhood bar :)

Also, the bathroom graffitti is really smart - hours of fun!
