Fantastic Bar. If you live in Boerum Hill, then it behooves you to drop by the Brooklyn Inn. It was my local when I lived down the block and I can tell you that the bartenders are no-nonsense yet friendly folks and the mix of patrons is amazingly cool. Man, this place is still great. It has been around for 100 years and you can't match all the charm and character. The drinks are strong and cheap, the bartenders very friendly. Love the jukebox and
although I'm not a pool player, seems that people really dig the back room with the pool table.
Hope it sticks around forever.…

This used to be one of a few local bars that were pure Brooklyn, I won't mention the other four or five; they know who they are and who wants the Bridge and Tunnel people turning up. It has recently
lost that vibe and it's more like a generic Manhattan bar, even the juke box has reverted to classic rock.
It may as well put in screens or start serving food or at least drop 'Brooklyn' from the name.…
miserable barmaids. been living near this place for 12 years, avoid it as much as possible b/c the barmaids (one in particular) always appear to be miserable. never a smile or a thank you. recently stopped by for a pal's get-together, even tho there were only a few customers i was ignored for 20 minutes by the barmaid who waited until i was leaving to ask me if i wanted another drink. f'd up.…

Once upon a time it was only the locals who laid low at this oak-and-mirror Boerum Hill favorite. But with nearby Smith Street's commercial explosion, the neighbors must uphold
their Sunday afternoon bloody mary traditions amidst the encroachment of a new crowd of younger, louder types who fill the pub to capacity most evenings.
The Draw
A first-rate jazz jukebox, a separate pool room (not for the faint of heart) and strong, affordable drinks served with a smile all prove the regulars right--you just can't get this kind of easy good time in Manhattan. Lore has it that the bar was shipped over piecemeal from Germany in the 1860s and has been in operation ever since.
