This theatre is such a treasure...the choice of films is a mix of TRUE art house and good indie and important documentary...the selections change every two weeks so there is always something to see...the screens are pretty large,sound and projection are first rate... the concession is great: fresh popcorn, cappuccino, and upscale candy selections...the staff is knowledgable. intelligent and genuinely excited to talk about the films!!! vintage posters(including a giant Italian Barbarella poster!) a funky decoupaged concession and a **!!#$ blue lady painted on the ceiling...my new favorite theatre in all of ny.
Pros: fun relaxed atmoshere

It's an old time theater that is always showing good and interesting movies. It's rarely crowded, which, compared to the closer and bigger multiplex, is a blessing. (I like to be the only person talking during a movie.) The popcorn and candy are fine, but sneak in your own drinks.
Pros: good movies, quiet audience
Cons: sometimes the drinks are kind of flat
